Since he was a child, Estes has always had a special connection with horses.

They feel lucky to have found a “horse whisperer” who can achieve the near impossible with unruly and seemingly untrainable animals. Estes maintains that he’s the lucky one. He makes a living doing what he loves and makes a difference in these horses’ lives at the same time.

Treading through the trees that have surrounded him his entire life, Estes feels a special connection to this part of Georgia and to the land his family has farmed for more than a century. Dressed in denim, leather chaps and with a hat permanently affixed to his head, it’s no surprise he’s known as the local cowboy. But Estes is clear about one thing: Horses are to be treated with respect and leave better than when they walked in.
